The Sector-based work academy programme (SWAPs) is an opportunity to learn new skills and get experience of working in a particular industry.
New Directions College has been working in partnership with local employers to boost access to careers in the customer service and hospitality sector, and support people who are out of work.
Our skills for work academy programmes are free to join*, and we will prepare you for your interview, as well as give you support at every step of the way. Each SWAPs programme will cover:
- Customer Service
- Communication Skills
- Conflict management
- Interview skills including role play
- Equality and Diversity
- CV Writing & Personal Statement
- Confidence Building
All participants will be guaranteed an interview with the employer on completion of the programme.
*Please note, the programme is available to candidates who are over the age of 19 and are currently unemployed.
