Skills for Supported Employment

Together with Ways into Work, New Directions College were successful in being awarded £130,000 in capital funding under the Getting Building Fund from the Thames Valley Local Enterprise Partnership.

As a result of this funding the College will soon begin offering a range of skills development programmes that are designed to enhance the skills, knowledge and behaviours of adults with special educational needs and disabilities and begin to prepare them for moving on to employment. Ways into Work will be opening a brand new Cafe in Reading where our learners will be able to secure work experience within a range of jobs and move into supported employment where appropriate.
