Floral Patterns in Islamic Art Course

In this 6-week course, you will explore the beauty and intricacies of floral patterns inspired by Islamic art, focusing on basic composition techniques. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment with various methods of dyeing and preparing surfaces, which will then be painted with watercolours. As the course progresses, you’ll develop a personal project, culminating in the final weeks with your own creation.
Designed to foster both confidence and creativity, this course offers a supportive and informal learning environment where you can share ideas, explore Ottoman-era compositions, and discuss ongoing projects with fellow students. All essential materials will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring along a sketchbook.
