The Big Artwork Event!

The Big Artwork Event is here!

We’re so excited to bring you an inspiring programme of activities on Tuesday 28th of  October 2025 at New Directions College and again on Tuesday 17th February 2026 at the Reading Museum. Everyone is welcome to participate free of charge.

The Big Artwork at New Directions College:

Come and join us this October half term for an Art Extravaganza for all the family to enjoy. Delve into a world of creativity and imagination as we explore various art forms and techniques together.

In celebration of Jane Austen’s 250th anniversary, this year’s Big Artwork event is inspired by the art of the Regency period! Join us as we explore the elegance and creativity of Austen’s time and reinterpret it with a contemporary twist. You and your family will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of artistic activities, celebrating Austen’s legacy in a fun and imaginative way. Whether you’re a Jane Austen enthusiast or simply love to create, this event offers something for everyone. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The workshop is free, but booking is essential. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to be part of a creative celebration!

This unique experience is designed to inspire and ignite a passion for art, catering to all age groups and skill levels. Join us across two venues for a range of exciting activities, that will bring out the artist in you.

This event is FREE for all.
