Strategic Lead – Skills for Work
We are seeking an inspiring Strategic Lead – Skills for Work to shape and drive our employability and vocational skills offer, ensuring learners develop the confidence, qualifications, and experience they need to succeed in today’s workforce.
This is a pivotal leadership role where strategy meets impact, working with partners, employers, and curriculum teams to transform lives through skills development.
What you’ll be leading:
- Developing and delivering the strategic vision for Skills for Work programmes;
- Building strong partnerships with employers and external stakeholders;
- Expanding employability pathways aligned to local labour market needs;
- Driving quality, performance, and continuous improvement;
- Leading and inspiring curriculum teams to deliver high-quality provision

Volunteering
New Directions College is fortunate to offer the opportunity to help our learners to fulfil their potential in the classroom, and our volunteers represent an integral part of our College, as they work alongside professional Tutors. Their support is invaluable to our learners, studying a wide range of courses, including Maths, English, ESOL and Community Learning.
